The fuel filter listed below is an excellent filter for your Holley Fuel Injection System. The metal filter is designed for the high-pressure (after-pump) side of the system, while the plastic filter is intended to be a pre-filter. Note that we prefer an in-tank sock-type pre-filter, which is inluded with the in-tank pumps. In-tank filters wash themselves and very rarely require replacement. An inline pre-filter is prone to getting plugged up and needs to be checked occasionally and back-washed or replaced. Regardless, having some sort of pre-filter is absolutely critical, as the tight tolerances inside high performance fuel pumps like the Walbro 255 LPH pump will absolutely lock up and fail if any debris enters the inlet.
